These stores are primarily owned by Scandinavian entrepreneurs and serve the most part of the market economy share. Some stores are open all 6 days a week while some are open 24×365. Make sure you check out the timings of the store you want to visit by simply googling their name along with area name. Most of the stores are open from 0700 hrs till 1100 hrs during weekdays. As they say “The simple is often the best” (Norwegian: “Det enkle er ofte det beste”). Rema1000 is one of the Norway’s favorite grocery store. They have various departments where you can get household stuff, some medical stuff, vegetables, fruits, chocolates, decorative stuff, seasonal gifts and other items. All you need to have your household satisfied.

The smart shoppers destination, with record low price offerings. You name it and they have it, discounted groceries are just around the corner when you talk about Kiwi minipris. You may see a variety of groceries available at this store which sometimes may not be available at other stores. Don’t mistake this with Coop Mega, however they are both similar companies under the same entrepreneurship.

A Coop Norway retail chain dealing in a large range of items ranging from Food, Books, Electronic items, sports goods , kitchen equipment , hope and interior. You mane it and Obs! they have it :). They certainly have bigger shopping area than Coop stores and house in a huge collection of things you would like to buy. Don’t forget to check their exquisite collection of Cheese and open bakery at some places.

Joker

And its no jokes here :), your serious buddy when you really one. Joker stores are pretty much available and accessible right when you need them. You will quite often find a Joker store in your neighborhood quite definitely inside your favorite train station or the bus terminal in Oslo, example the Oslo Bus Terminal. Prices of items are a bit on the higher note as compared to other normal grocery stores, but they serve you best when you need them :). A well stocked retail grocery store having a huge range of asian, non-asian grocery and household items. Delight yourself with fresh and cost-effective vegetables , a whole wide range of kitchen , bathroom essentials including a good range of all dry fruits, dairy products. Check with the friendly operators when usually they get fresh vegetable at stock and plan your visits.

Parking space is limited to only 4-5 vehicles at a time, else you can simply take a T-bane / Metro.
